A report from the US suggests that the adaptation of the PC FPS horror may be hitting the streets of North America within the next 12 weeks.

With PC gamers having already sampled the horrors of Hades on the Red Planet earlier this year, it is sure to delight Xbox gamers to hear that the waiting may at last be over – Doom 3 may be on the console by February, in the US at least.

Reports in the American version of Official Xbox Magazine suggest that Doom 3 for the Xbox, currently being developed by Vicarious Visions, include statements apparently made by Activision President, Ron Doornink in October.

Whether the report is accurate remains to be seen, and a European release for the title is also to be confirmed.
