Two independent research groups confirmed today that the Xbox video game system is on a roll. The NPD Group Inc. reported that Xbox posted a stunning sales increase of approximately 131 percent in the United States in the first two months following a $100 price cut in May.

Take-Two Interactive announced today the formation of a new publishing label, Gotham Games. This new brand will be lead by Take-Two’s VP of Publishing and Business development, Jamie Leece, and will take on the publishing of all of Take-Two Interactive’s value priced games for PSOne, as well as the publishing of a number of upcoming titles.

I have never really been a huge fan of RPG games. Titles such as Final Fantasy which wowed gaming audiences world wide never thrilled me. That is why I was a bit skeptical about playing Morrowind.

There are few titles that are designed from the ground up specifically for four-player action. While there are some titles that have a little multi-player as a side option, which usually is split-screen, you don't have too many games that focus primarily on cooperative action.
